Orthodox Dogmatic Theology. Volume 2.

«Orthodox Dogmatic Theology» by Metropolitan Macarius (Bulgakov), Part II, is devoted to the doctrine of God the Savior and His special relationship to the human race. The book gives a detailed exposition of the Orthodox teaching on the Lord Jesus Christ, the mystery of the Incarnation, the union of the two natures in Him, and the redemption of humanity He accomplished through His prophetic, high-priestly, and royal ministry. A special place is given to the doctrine of the Church, Divine grace, and the seven Sacraments of the Church as the means of man's sanctification. The work concludes with an examination of the teaching on the particular and Last Judgment, recompense after death, and the final destiny of man after the general resurrection. As in the first part, the exposition is grounded in Holy Scripture, Holy Tradition, the dogmatic definitions of the Church, and the testimonies of the Holy Fathers.
